GENERAL INFORMATION

At the Big Muddy Challenge we do not charge spectators to cheer and congratulate their family or friends at the finish area.  For everyone’s safety we set up specific spectator areas to keep the course clear for participants.  We will kindly ask spectators to remain in the designated areas.

You have the ability to select your starting time during online registration.  If you learn later that something comes up and you need to change your race time, no worries, you can log back in and select a new start time based off all waves that are still open.

We design all obstacles with detour paths and varying difficulty levels so there is a good chance you will be able to complete all obstacles.  However, All runners should assess each obstacle at the approach to determine if their fitness level and overall condition will enable them to complete it without injuring themselves or others.  Go around any obstacle that you or your child don’t want to complete.

The race will not be canceled for rain!  This is the Big Muddy Challenge!  If there is lightning, we’ll delay waves until it passes.  When the race resumes, waves will go off at 15 minute intervals until the race is back on schedule.  If there’s severe weather that prevents the event from being held at all on Saturday, it’ll most likely be moved to Sunday. In the event the immediate Sunday is unavailable, We will follow the same process as our venue selection process below.

We have a formal venue selection process to ensure once registration is open all details are accurate.  However, if something arises out of our control we will select a secondary location within 60 miles of the primary venue.  We also will make every effort for the event date to remain the same.  If for any reason it does change, we realize the hassle this is for everyone.  We will offer credits and discuss any situations that don’t work for our participants.

All registrations for Big Muddy Challenge events are non-refundable.  However, if you are really in a jam you can contact us to potentially transfer your registration.
